Morey is a strategic leader, with an inclusive vision for a just world. As any opportunity to partner with Morey presents itself, I will run toward it and embrace it fully knowing that the work will catapult something positive in the world and introduce me to new leaders or types of leaders in his network. We have worked with Morey in multiple capacities, as a consultant, a Co-Executive Director of an organization, as well as a director at a grantmaking organization. Morey is an excellent collaborator–he always has an eye to who is not at the table and how to include them. He is gifted at facilitating group processes that result in thoughtful, yet somehow efficient, decision making. He is skilled at balancing donor requirements with what communities need on the ground and can move back and forth between these worlds seamlessly. We have also seen him effectively mentor newer staff in implementation and leadership roles. He would be an asset to both philanthropic and nonprofit work.
